TOUR DE BARENTS COORDINATION PROJECT

The organisers of the Tour de Barents received funding for the first preparatory project from the Interreg III A North Kolarctic Neigbourhood programme. National public financing was granted by the State Provincial Office of Lapland and the Norwegian Barents Secretariat. The preparatory project was coordinated by Rovaniemi Regional Development Agency Ltd. and it was implemented 1.12.2007-30.4.2008.

The continuation project began immediately in May 2008 and is coordinated by Lapland Sports Institute in Rovaniemi. Main financiers of the Coordination Project are Regional Council of Lapland and Norwegian Barents Secretariat. Project is financed also by City of Rovaniemi, Municipality of Inari, Lapland Sports Institute, Municipality of Vadsö, Innovation Norway and Norwegian Ski Federation.
